AQ Carve #126: Childhood Dreams: Secret Agent!. We all have had dreams as a child of what we're going to be when we grow up. And that probably changed frequently! From a veterinarian, to a secret agent with the FBI, to a doctor, etc.... Here's one of my many dreams. Of course, after I reached the age of ten, my dreams began to be a bit more realistic!
AQ Carve #127: Optical Illusions: Distance vs. Size. This one is carved, but I haven't designed the LTC yet. AQ Carve #128: Optical Illusions: The Stroop Effect...RED YELLOW BLUE GREEN. Also carved but not completed yet. AQ Carve #129: Plenty of Fish: Largemouth Bass. I just love the way this one turned out. I used Twinkling H-2-0s for the fish, and the background paper is perfect for this theme!
AQ Carve #131: Celtic Art: 4 Hearts in a Square. I stamped the frame onto white cardstock, cut out the inner hearts area with a razorblade, stamped the image again onto the pink and blue papers, placed them behind the frame, then colored everything in.
AQ Carve #132: TGIF: And Shabbat Shalom!. Every Friday evening I find myself releasing a big sigh...at last, Shabbat has arrived. There's something about my body rhythms that so looks forward to this time of refreshing, both body and spirit. In Jewish practice, the lighting of the Shabbat lights are a way of separating the ordinary week from the special time that God designated for us to rest, just as he also rested from creation on the seventh day. ... Shabbat Shalom!
